This request is made at the beginning races, mostly automobile races. Just for a moment, imagine shortly after waking, even before you rise out of bed, you said to yourself that exact phrase using it as a metaphor or saying something similar, "Self! Start your day!"
Say the words out loud right now. Do you feel a shift in your demeanor? What did saying the words out loud do to your attitude? Are you now ready to tackle the day or what's to come next?
Mental preparation first thing in the morning will help set the tone of the day, especially in your business.
As I may have mentioned, I'm part of a blog challenge where we must write and post daily during certain months of the year; the next formal challenge begins October 1, however, many of us who participated in July are continuing this month and next. It's been a marvelous way to practice and be confident in our writing skills with people from all over the world, plus spreading our message and what we do in our businesses.
Also to that daily practice, I recently joined a 21-day meditation challenge offered by the Chopra Center; it's a way that I can take 20 minutes each day for me to connect with Source and, basically, my Self; also a great way to begin my day in the office.
These two daily practices have helped center me, to remain in focus throughout the day so that I can accomplish everything what I consider necessary.
Yesterday I completed an entire day of tasks effortlessly and easily without stressing over all there is yet to be done. My most proudest accomplishment was creating a PowerPoint slide that holds the main message of the training I'm developing for online and live workshop delivery.
Adding to my plate, there is a marriage ceremony this Saturday between my youngest son and his beautiful bride-to-be. A few out-of-towners will begin to arrive tomorrow; more to arrive Thursday, my daughter and son-in-law who live 1,100 miles away among them. The celebration will be witnessed by over 200 friends and relatives. Yet, I completed a few household tasks as well.
I am excited and I am calm, taking one step at a time and truly believing that saying "OK. Let's greet the day!" or "Bring it on!" in a positive light sets the tone for the remainder of my day.
What I also feel helps with the confidence on the business and personal side is belonging to this mastermind group. Last session we discussed products and services which helped drill down to what it is I want to deliver to my followers.
So, how will you greet the remainder of your day? What will you say tomorrow morning before rising? Where will you look to access the connection to Source and Self -- or to your business?
I urge you to try a morning practice for the next five days; see what a difference it will make in your day, in your week. Also, find a group to join to where you receive the support and inspiration and encouragement to grow, especially a group where you can offer the same to other members within. Then let me know of your experience; I'd love to hear about it.
Have a great day and Dream On!
